Rights & Responsibilities

I’m seeing a lot of “spiritual” people and “thought leaders” setting alarming examples during this pandemic, complaining about and campaigning for their lost freedoms and civil rights (many of these ‘rights’ in fact being privileges.)

I get it, life looks very different. No one enjoys being told what to do. Livelihoods are deeply affected and at the beginning of the year I’m certain none of us imagined a reality like the one we find ourselves in..

But I strongly believe that those in a position of privilege should be talking a lot less about their “rights” and a lot more about their “responsibilities."

If you have the power to influence people, take it responsibly. Stop calling people who are adhering to social distancing laws “sheeple.” This language is dangerous and insanely insulting to our health care workers and those sick, sad, hurt and grieving.

Whether you’re in the fifth dimension or operating at a new frequency; this pandemic is happening here on Earth.

And whilst many may find spiritual lessons and upgrades and a revitalised sense of personal belief systems, the reality of the situation is that we are in the midst of a global pandemic, with very real and traumatic consequences.

Enough spiritual bypassing.

If you live in a western world and you are experiencing your personal freedoms being taken away for the first time (and not for “no reason”, may I kindly remind you) what a life of privilege !

We remain staying at home for one simple objective: to save lives and to respect the capacity and wellbeing of our health care systems and workers.

For anyone thinking differently, please look a health care worker in the eyes and tell them why your freedoms matter more than theirs.
