Name: Jennifer Park

Occupation / Business / Creative Outlet: Designer, Researcher

Location: New York

First thing you did this morning? Roll around in bed until fully awake...trying to remember my dreams, enjoying the stillness and quiet before the city wakes up... it's my favorite part of the day.

What does 'well-being' mean to you? Finding balance and much needed softness... not just connecting to your mind and body but to your environment and community.

Currently reading? Fiber Fueled (Will Bulsiewicz) and My Mother Laughs (Chantal Akerman)

Currently browsing (.com)? https://nycabsentee.com/ Making sure I get my ballot in time!

A resource / piece of writing you'd like to share with us? ‘One does not create by adding, but by taking away. To develop is another matter.’ — Notes on the Cinematograph, Robert Bresson.

An album/mix that calms your nervous system? all things Brian Eno.

An album/mix that hypes you up? 90s pop mix à la Lilith Fair

Three items in your wallet / bag? Notebook, pen, gloves

Most commonly used apps on your phone? Calculator, Weather, Google Maps

Products found in your shower/by your bath? Aesop Face Cleanser, Davines shampoo and conditioner, dry brush.

Three things that can always be found in your kitchen cupboard? Nutritional yeast, lemons, ACV, good olive oil.

Favourite kitchen utensil? Microplane

Favourite travel destination? Naples. Italy in general.

Favourite form of movement/exercise? Yoga and Swimming.

Nighttime rituals & practices? I'm Korean so I feel like I should have a 20 step night time routine but I can barely remember to throw on a serum or eye cream. Toner is a must, though, and I'm simultaneously grossed out and so satisfied to see what I've wiped off my face. Lastly, a film to fall asleep to. I normally don't last more than 10 minutes past the opening credits.

One thing you'd like to incorporate into your day/week that you're currently yet to? Italian lessons. I've tried half heartedly on Duolingo in the past, it did not go well... and more movement in the AM.

A secret? Love murder docs.

Someone you look up to? People who live simply and with integrity.

Something you're proud of? Being self sufficient, trusting myself.

I feel most creatively fulfilled when... I'm in the zone for hours and things finally start to click and become very, very clear and everything just works.

I'm currently working on... wrapping up SS21, a belt book with a friend, organizing my archives.

This time last year, I wish I knew... how to slow down.

I'm grateful for... Humor, lightness, tenderness.
