(HOW TO TAKE INSPIRATION FROM GEMINI )
Gemini is magical, and deeper than it appears at first – and that’s kind of the whole point.
Illusions, deceptions, mirrors, and mirages are Gemini’s experimentation tools. Related to alchemy, Gemini offers an opportunity to learn how the mind manifests reality in collaboration, or collusion, with our emotional subconscious.
In Greek mythology, messenger god, Hermes, was the only one other than Hades who could move between earth and the underworld, and he would carry messages back and forth. In this way, it’s Gemini’s duty to plunge into the well of emotional subconscious, bringing back knowledge and ideas that have been formulating deep within. As a messenger flittering between realms, Gemini not only carries divinely inspired messages, but is also able to expand perspectives as it oscillates between apparent opposites.
Embodying Gemini means getting to know the mind’s tricks and deceptions. You may be defeated by your own self sabotage, but only so that you can truly understand how it all works. At this crisis point, when it seem like an evil twin has taken over, we’re invited to embody Gemini by taking the courage to plunge into our own underworld. This takes a lot of courage and vulnerability, but keeping a curious mindset will take you far. To embody Gemini this season, be curious about your mind and feelings. Pay close attention to how your reality is shaped by your perspective. Remember that the trick isn’t to learn about everything out there, but to learn about yourself – from heaven to hell.
There is nothing concrete in Gemini’s world, even physical reality is malleable. In this playful state, anything is possible.
SELF REFLECTION QUESTIONS FOR GEMINI SEASON:
- What does your mind say in order to talk you out of your feelings?
- How does your mind spin stories to keep you from expanding your life?
- Where in your life could you reserve the right to change your mind?
- How aligned are your attitudes vs. feelings?
