Finding & Forming Connection in Solitude

— A letter from SP Founder, Lauren Trend

Forced anything never comes easy. But can we look for the opportunity amid the COVID-19 pandemic?

I don’t want to negate the seriousness and sensitivity of these circumstances by sharing my spiritual insights publicly to be accused of bypassing — but it’s hard to ignore the fact that we as a collective are being asked to GROUND in this moment on a mass scale. Shit is surfacing. So much of it. And how we move forward; with care, connectedness, in community is up to us.

We are in a huge HUGE moment of transition during this time. The contrast between the wealthy and disenfranchised is under a spotlight so big it’s impossible to ignore. Now is a forced opportunity to reflect on our individual power and privilege in a time that feels entirely out of control.

Some prompts and questions you might like to consider during this time:
How are you, really, (physically, emotionally, spiritually)?
What are you no longer willing to tolerate?
What needs to change?
What are you grateful for?
Who can you support?
What are you doing with your life?
Does it matter?
What matters most to you?

Within isolation; reflection awaits. Lean in. Stop sitting in the passenger seat and take the wheel.

Self care is community care. How you are able to show up for yourself directly affects (on both the physical and energetic planes) those around you. Let’s continue to care for us all.
