Self care is not just an Epsom salts bath. (Although, awesome.) Self care takes practice. Self care is practice.
Self care is the constant coming back to yourself. It’s the constant returning. It’s the picking up of the book, the closing down of the tabs. It’s the listening. It's the constant editing of your life. It’s the honouring of your boundaries whilst constantly questioning them. It’s the letting go, the letting in. It’s the icky conversation. It’s the relief found afterwards. It’s the trusting of yourself to make mistakes, to take new paths. It’s practice because it’s always changing, we’re always changing - and the greatest thing we can do is grant ourselves permission to be in permanent discovery.
